Easter Calling

Easter is almost here once again and with it the mass eating of chocolate eggs. A couple of questions though? Why does Easter "move". If it was all about when Jesus was resurrected, surely that was one day? It can't be moved, a bit like moving Christmas day around if it was not convenient for people? The second question, why the eggs? I imagine they represent the idea of birth, or at least the promise of birth. Also why chocolate? I don't think that there was much in the way of chocolate in the Holly Land at the time of Jesus's return from the dead? I wonder if a little paganism has not seeped into the public consiousness? Hmmmm (One ponders and one puts finger to chin)

How fast the year goes!  Only a short time ago it was Christmas and all that it brings, good or bad. Now when I look at the calender I think.
"That time of year already?"
The thought then crosses your mind that you had better sort out all the plans you have for the coming year, previously you thought that you had loads of time to get tickets, book gigs, buy a winter coat (ulp). But now, suddenly the race is on! Got to book accommodation, pay for the car, make sure the tax return is done etc, etc.
Someone once said that as you get older time seems to go by faster. I think that is true. My days are a blur of activity and the weeks get gobbled up. Days seem like hours and weeks seem like days!

T Bamford Guitar Tutor

Currently getting busy with the fingers doing their work on the rocking fretboards of loads of guitars in the studio. Welcome to new students and an open invitation to any potential new students out there! Its a great skill to play the guitar and its something no one can take away from you once you get the knack of it. So what are you waiting for? Give me a call and book some time with me and join the the rest of the happy string slingers in my studio. Always room for a few more!

My recently aquired Vox "White Shadow" guitar has been pressed into teaching service. I didn't realise but it is quite small and great for young hands who want to have a go at the electric guitar but a full sized guitar is a bit too much for them. It was great watching the faces of some of my younger students as they put into practice on an electric all the techniques I have taught them!  I even inched up the volume when they were really rocking!
